KPK questions former IBRA chiefs on BLBI
Two former Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) I Putu Gede Ary Suta and Syafuddin Temenggung were called to speak at a Bank Indonesia liquidity funds (BLBI) corruption hearing at Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Wednesday afternoon.
“I am here on a KPK invitation, it’s about BLBI,” Syafruddin told awaiting journalists, shortly after he arrived at the KPK headquarters in the afternoon. Both, however, refused to comment on the hearing’s agenda.
Ary and Syaffruddin arrived at the building at around 12:45 p.m. in separate cars.
The KPK was also scheduled to hold a second hearing of the case with Attorney General’s Office officials at 13:00 on Wednesday.
The hearing, which would be attended by KPK top executives, would be the second after the AGO’s Special Crimes Office presented their findings at the KPK headquarters in October.
